The Lost Kings by Ashley Munoz

Queen B’s Decree: I don’t know what I expected from this book, but it was not what I got.

A heavy mafia theme, but it felt so strange that Presley’s parents were basically missing for most of the book. She’s essentially turned into this little mafia heir by her great-uncle who I can’t make heads or tails of. Does he ever tell the truth?

The main theme in this book was miscommunication, and mostly because the main characters are all playing with a partial deck—it feels like they never have all the information. And it makes it so the fights and discussions between Presley and the twins, Gio and Kingston, are all the more frustrating. While they are treated like grown-ups, they are all basically baby adults so you add in their hormones and you get a wild time.

There was a major cliffhanger at the end and I just don’t know how everything is gonna get resolved. Words were said that can’t be taken back and I don’t blame Presley for her actions. The twins done messed up and I’m hoping for some grovel in book two. I can’t even really express what happened but just know I would like more.
