Bargains with Benefits by Jillian Witt

Queen B’s Decree: I loved (LOOOOOVVVEEEEEDDDD) the Compass Points series last year so I was very happy to revisit this world, albeit with some new characters.

Half-fae Luna has six weeks to turn around her beloved inn before it gets sold, and to do that, she needs some help. Enter Vincent, a fully fae journalist who proposes a bargain with her. Their meet-cute is a little enemies-to-lovers-ish, but they soon get to know each other.

I loved Vincent’s wind magic. It was the cutest side character (despite it not being a separate entity). It helped make him less stuffy and more adorable and I just wanted to wrap him up and give him all the hugs. Vincent and Luna both attempt to be professional, at first, but they soon let their walls down and become closer and closer.

There was a bit of a mystery, but Bargains with Benefits was mostly just a cozy and adorable read. With just the right amount of spice, I couldn’t stop reading. Jillian Witt is definitely becoming and auto-read author for me.
