Queen B’s Decree: I devoured this one, everything just worked so well.
There’s mental health representation, discussions of childhood trauma, the adjustment of aging parents. And yet, it still felt like such a light and cozy read?
The characters fit together so well. Summer really felt like their glue, providing Jae, Mercer, and Lucien with a safe space to truly be themselves, open up their hearts, show their vulnerabilities, and put down roots. All the while bickering and bantering and just forming a friendship in addition to their spice.
And oh, the spice. Get me a glass a water, I’m gonna need it.
I also really want to go to Summer’s bakery, I need a banh mi and a pandan-flavored dessert!
