Queen B’s Decree: Cleo White has become one of my favorites when I’m in need a quick age gap trope.
I devoured In Pieces. Brooks is our older doctor, who has been treating Delta, a professional snow boarder. And though he battles with his growing feelings for her, he absolutely has what is best for her (medically!!!! Get your mind out of the gutter) in the forefront of his mind at all times. Even if that doesn’t match her father’s (aka her coach) wishes.
And gah, Brooks going all alpha hole on her dad was such a sight to see.
With the typical steam you’d expect in a Cleo White story, In Pieces was a quick listen that was ultimately super satisfying. With just enough relationship development, emotional growth, and discussions about mental health and autism, Philip Alces and CC Jinks really gave life to the characters.
I’ll be hoping to listen to more Cleo White in the future.
