Queen B’s Decree: Just Breaking the Rules was a fun and steamy read, with baker Mabel and her brother’s best friend, hockey player Corbin. The narration was the reason I wanted to listen; is there anything better than Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor? Chef’s kiss ❤️
There are some over-the-top ridiculous moments, heartwarming times with side characters, and plenty of will they won’t they sexual tension and steam. Corbin’s daughter was one of my favorites—she’s the analytical nerd of my heart.
It did start to drag after a bit, and I really think it could have been edited down a few pages. And I really wish Mabel spoke freely with her mom, I felt like that was unresolved and I wanted Mabel to stand up for herself.
But overall, this was a fun and enjoyable hockey book with fantastic narration.
