Read. Reign. Repeat.

When in Rome by Sarah Adams

Queen B’s Decree: For what seems like such a lighthearted book, When in Rome made me feel so many feelings.

Amelia is a famous singer on the run…from her popularity and life. She just needs an escape, and she ends up on grumpy Noah’s lawn. They both feel an instant connection, but Noah especially tries to ignore it until it’s so undeniable they can’t resist.

I loved Noah’s small town. The side characters are so important to this story. His sisters, his best friend, his grandma’s best friend — they all feel so integral.

What makes this so good is the feelings invoked. Grief, feelings of obligation, rejection, loyalty and protection; there’s so much that happens that make your heart burn, soar, and cry. I can’t believe I waited this long to read this book and I can’t wait to dive into the next.

Lastly, kudos to the narrators, they made it so I couldn’t stop listening.
