Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Ever Queen by LJ Andrews

Queen B’s Decree: You may remember my review for The Ever King last month, basically just me gushing about how I couldn’t stop reading. Well get ready for some more.

I was sucked into the conclusion of the duet. We ended the first book with Livia and Erik separated after suffering a massive betrayal. I could feel the rage and desperation they both felt, trying to get back to each other. It made me keep turning the pages, wanting to see how the story would unfold.

I think what I loved about this one was the fellowship that happens. Erik and Livia’s family had basically been enemies previously, but they all work together against a common enemy and become more of a family. It really made my heart burst—knowing Livia is able to give Erik the family he never had and how her family (eventually) accepted him and cared for him too.

I knew a bit of what would happen (since I read The Mist Thief out of order) but really, it just whetted my appetite for a reread. Get ready for me to dive back into Jonas and Skadi’s story!
