Hidden Libraries by DC Helmuth

Queen B’s Decree: As some of you may know, traveling is probably my third biggest passion (after books and cats, obviously). Hidden Libraries was such an interesting read.

Not every library listed was still accessible or available, so it was basically a mix of of a history lesson and travelogue. I’m traveling to Europe again next year, and I’m hoping I can visit one of the libraries on this list!

Now, this library wasn’t hidden (although there was some construction on the roads outside which meant I had to walk a few extra blocks to find the entrance) but I had to share some of my photos from my visit this summer to the Malmo Public Library.

So many bright windows and natural light, and I loved perusing the alternative language sections. Shelves full of Polish or German or Russian language books. That’s something you don’t see back in Kansas, Dorothy.
