Queen B’s Decree: Retreat was a fun, quick paced thriller focusing on Liz, a con woman who surreptitiously steps into her missing employer’s shoes (literally).
Most of this story is told from Liz’s (fake Isabelle) point of view, and wow, sometimes she was so reckless. She’s supposedly this con woman who has been doing this for a long time, yet she made so many little mistakes. But hey, we’re all human, and sometimes greed is hard to resist.
I did have suspicions from near the beginning, and pat myself on the back but I was correct. Although I still didn’t guess everything that would happen. Overall, this was an enjoyable and quick read that still surprised me at the end.
