Queen B’s Decree: Avery Cockburn is no stranger to me. Play Hard is the newest release in her Glasgow Lads series. It is sort of a standalone, but only if you’ve read Playing with Fire. I’d highly suggest you start there. Play Hard revisits Robert and Liam. It really is a wonderful story outlining what […]
Queen B’s Decree: I had been worried about this series. Thankfully, Gluttony got us back on track. God, AKA Gluttony, was a surprising character. He was so much more than a spoiled rich boy. We get to see his true self, the intricacies he hides behind his prideful facade. Zemira is a wonder as well. […]
Queen B’s Decree: I’m so glad Penny Reid writes and releases at a ridiculous pace. I’m not sure I could have waited much longer. Remember Motion? And how I was so afraid of the cliffhanger? Well, it was a painful start. The prologue of Space directly connects with the ending of Motion. We finally get […]
Queen B’s Decree: Wrath continues this whirlwind series. Man, so much stuff keeps happening. Wrath is Samuel Gunner, a boy (man?) full of anger and rage. Growing up with a rich and abusive family, everything he’s done is to keep his twin sister safe. He sees the Elite as the way out; the way to […]
Queen B’s Decree: Another reverse harem featuring a K-Pop group? Hell yeah, I’m there. Truth is the first book in the newest series featuring the K-Pop group Onyx. Kate is our Heroine, an American hired to be their team photographer while they go on a new world tour. And our Heroes are the members of […]
Queen B’s Decree: Pride is our second of the seven deadly sins (check out Queen B’s review of Lust if you haven’t seen it already). Pride intertwines with Lust chronologically; much of what occurs happens prior or during the events of Lust. You could potentially read Pride without reading Lust, but I would highly recommend […]
Queen B’s Decree: I was afraid to start this book. There were two words in the blurb that scared me… Big lie. Oh man. SECRETS. So I chose to instead do my taxes and literally anything I could find to put off reading this book. And in hindsight, I was a big cowardly coward. Because […]
Queen B’s Decree: I’ve been looking forward to Jake and Brenna’s story since I finished The Chase. What’s not to like? Enemies-to-lovers, fake relationship that turns real, opposing teams? Need I go on? The short and long of it is this: Brenna is bombing at an interview for an internship (due to the misogyny displayed […]
Queen B’s Decree: Welp. This book ruined me. Pretty Young Things is a modern adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Spoiler for you kids: I’ve never read The Count of Monte Cristo, but I vaguely remember watching the movie where Jesus was looking all angsty in a dungeon. My faulty memory […]
Queen B’s Decree: If you’ve been following my jibberish along for a while, you’ve probably picked up that the “second chance romance” trope is not my favorite. I just hate the thought of all that wasted time due to some sort of misunderstanding. In the case of Forgiving Keven, I think the time apart for […]
