Queen B’s Decree: I used to love the movie Bring it On, so I thought I’d be (figuratively) jumping for joy to read a YA cheerleader murder mystery.
But Jonty is no Torrence.
I was interested in the mystery, and I really wanted to figure it out. And frankly, I never guessed it, so I liked that I felt like I was constantly learning new information with new theories.
Alas, Jonty was such a frustrating character. She was so sure she was right (literally every time) despite multiple times being shown to the contrary, and she never seemed to learn from her mistakes. The narrator, Ashley J. Hobbs was the bright part of listening, and the reason I pushed through to the end.
