Queen B’s Decree: Well this one was a hoot. I am a cat person, but I actually do love dogs still—I’m just too lazy to have one. But a dog in my fictional space (only HEA living dogs please!!!) is my jam.
I loved the meet cute of Sawyer and Chloe. An accident at a dog’s party (I’m sorry but that is my kind of extra) leads them to spend some time together and then oops he moves to her small town and they are forced into business…sort of. Their banter, their attraction, the back and forth and will they/won’t they. It all added up for a great time.
While this is mostly a fun rom com, it actually felt like it had real depth. Sawyer and Chloe really got to know each other (beyond the physical) and it was like I fell in love the same time they did.
And the narration? Top tier. Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais knocked it out of the park and made it so I almost listened to this book in an entire day, I couldn’t stop listening. I’m soooo ready for the next in the series and I’ll be dying for the audio.
