Queen B’s Decree: If a book has cats in it…you know I’m gonna buy it.
Agnes is a widow, who has turned into a workaholic at her cat shelter. When she finds a new location, she ignores the magical red flags and signs the lease anyway. Needs must for the kitties, you understand. It’s only later she discovers that her new landlord is the grumpy and dangerous magician, Havelock.
They team up together to organize all his artifacts (JUNK is what I’d call it) in order to fight against the magical threat coming for them both. And of course…Havelock isn’t maybe so grumpy after you get to know him. I mean, if the cats like him…he can’t be all bad, right?
The personalities of the cats was my favorite part. Despite how some of them stayed so short (because they were adopted to fur-ever homes 🥹), they were all described in such detail that it felt like I knew them. And for a cat lady who wants to own all the kitties, it was the perfect kind of book for me.
Overall, a fun and cozy fantasy that any cat lover will adore.
