Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Unruly Heart of Miss Darcy by Erin Edwards

Queen B’s Decree: By now you’ve probably figured out that I am a Pride and Prejudice-stan. I read it in high school and I was forever changed, so of course I wanted a sapphic romance between Georgiana Darcy and Kitty Bennett.

I loved Georgiana as a character. She was as I expected, demure and shy to the world but full of multitudes behind closed doors. This story is told entirely through her point-of-view so I feel like we got to know her very well. I wished we got Kitty’s point-of-view too, as she felt a lot more surface-level to me.

Overall, this was a sweet and cute YA sapphic read, with some realistic discussions about the state of same sex relationships during the early 1800s.
