Queen B’s Decree: Queerleaders is a bit like gay Bring it On…and despite my anti-athleticism, I was super into that movie. Side note, there is one song on the soundtrack that rolls through my head regularly.
Davie was an interesting character. I fully resonate with her need to take it all on herself, how hard it was for her to ask for help. Kendall was harder to connect with, but they both had a hard time communicating. But hey, they are teenagers, I’m not expecting them to have the emotional maturity of an adult.
I liked the found family feel, how all the queerleaders banded together against the bigots. And while it feels like the conservative bigots are over the top…I also live in a red state so I fully believed it all.
The audio was great, I couldn’t stop listening and the two narrators really helped me get invested in the story. Another great one from this author duo!
