Queen B’s Decree: I love that Axel’s reaction when he meets Zara, an assassin, is “yes???? And?????”
I’ve loved Axel since we first met him; he’s a strong protective man who lives for his family. I knew he’d need a strong woman…who would be okay with being taken care of just a little bit. Zara is his perfect match. Strong, independent, smart, but one who honestly just needs a good hug. Both are just a bit morally grey, both love their family fiercely.
Side note — the found family this series has just makes my heart warm. The family group chat cracks me up every time.
The spice is spicing with this one. BDSM isn’t usually my thing, but this one just worked for me. With Jason Clarke narrating Papa Axe, I’ll put on a collar any day. And Angelina Rocca as Zara? She just portrayed such emotion, fantastic job.
The story line kept me guessing. I never knew what was happening next, and I loved how Zara kept surprising me. This series has been such an amazing read, and I can’t wait for Cash and Jax to be next!
