Queen B’s Decree: I couldn’t put this one down. I’ve been waiting for Asher’s secrets since we first met him.
He’s the kind of MMC I love: protective, broody, tattooed, a bit stalkerish, a tad obsessed, but most of all loyal and loving. The man may claim he doesn’t believe in love, but he embodies it. I think that’s what I enjoyed so much, him being in full denial of his feelings until he finally embraces them.
And Olivia is his perfect foil. Someone with a smidge of adoption trauma, so she takes to being stalked and adored like a duck to water.
The found family they have in Silver Pines Ranch was the cherry on top. I loved seeing all the characters from the previous books (I’m talking about you Wade, I think about your hand tattoo on the reg) and how they all band together and support each other so well.
Add in just a bit of mystery and suspense, and you’ve got a perfect end to the series. And don’t think I don’t see what you’re doing, I know we’re meeting all the Black brothers just so we get to visit Laurel Creek again and I am 100% here for it.
