Queen B’s Decree: This was exceptionally satisfying. It had so many things I loved: hockey, a solid friend group, a selfless and kind FMC, an MMC who’s been playing the long con and just wants to protect and help.
I love that Wyatt has been into Lyla since the first moment he saw her, but he never felt like a creep. He didn’t interfere in her relationship…just waited for his moment when she was single. And maybe yes, he does all he can to help her out (including utilizing his family name and money) but it was always quietly and anonymously. He was just kind of perfect.
And Lyla was so sweet. I loved her devotion to her family and her openness to be vulnerable with Wyatt.
Add in just enough spice and relationship development, and you’ve got a solid story that hooks me. Basically I read Deking within an entire sitting and now I need to go back and read the previous books in the series.
