Queen B’s Decree: I loved the premise of this one. Small town farmer (who has an identical twin actress sister) and the almost one night stand that becomes her bodyguard. It felt like a perfect set up for a rom com. Forced proximity was key here, how can you resist when you have to share a small cabin???
The small town was a lot of fun. I liked how supportive everyone was—even if there were some busybodies—they just made the town a little more fun.
There was a lot of push and pull; a lot of Banks giving into temptation then afterwards stating “no, we shouldn’t, this was the last time.” And after a while I wanted to just grab him and go “make up your mind!!!” Ripley deserved to have someone who wasn’t unsure about her.
The audio was fantastic, and the narrators (Erin Mallon and JF Harding) really brought these characters to life. Overall, a fun listen and I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next in the series.
