Queen B’s Decree: Chasing the Ring was a fun and easy read. It had a few ridiculous antics, but that’s kind of Lauren Rowe’s style, and frankly, I like it.
Iris is on her honeymoon—alone, upon discovering her fiancé was cheating—after going viral for her confrontation at the altar. She ends up at Rowan’s vacation rental, and forced proximity ensues! Rowan is a big time football player, but Iris doesn’t recognize him, so he takes advantage of the anonymity.
Their relationship gets steamy really quick, but hey, this is a vacation fling! There’s kind of a third-act breakup, but it feels realistic and frankly, the best for both of them at the time. And after that, their emotional connection seems to grow so much.
Overall, this was a fun read, and I didn’t want to put it down. A quick little romcom that hooked me and made me want more.
