Queen B’s Decree: This one had such promise. Forced proximity…when one is the predator and one is the prey? Oh yes please.
It’s just unfortunate that the prey really wanted to be eaten (yes that is a double entendre). Beckett obviously was trying to protect her and keep her alive amongst his kind. But Reyna just kept running headlong into danger. Oh no, the vampire who I’m assigned to AS FOOD doesn’t want to drink from me, gives me unlimited money, a private driver and a bodyguard, and doesn’t make me get a job? Seriously girl, sign me up, I’ll switch places with you.
The bright side was the narration. The solo narrator Stephanie Németh-Parker did a great job, and I really felt transported. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to keep me interested and thus I quit about two-thirds in.
