Queen B’s Decree: Maybe it’s because I’ve become of a bah humbug, but this book really resonated with me.
Charlotte is a once child actor in a Hallmark-type Christmas movie…and thus she doesn’t really like the holiday. She escapes to visit her sister during the holiday season and somehow ends up at the home where part of the movie was filmed. And it’s there she meets Graham, one of the homeowners.
They are kind of forced together after Graham proposes a mutual business arrangement, where they become friends of a sort. What happens next are a series of rom com hijinks, but nothing ever feels cheesy or over the top.
A third act break-up does ensue, but I feel like it gets resolved quickly after some friendly support and communication.
Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read and it made me feel just a little bit less like a grinch this season.
