Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Mist Thief by LJ Andrews

Queen B’s Decree: I first read this when it was published last year, and my reread has shown me that I’m just as obsessed as I was last summer.

Jonas, Jonas, Jonas. What can I say (other than I luv u)? He’s so down bad for Skadi, even when they were initially enemies. He’s protective and sweet, and it’s so satisfying to see after he was such a commitment phobic ladies man. And Skadi is such a well written character. She’s stroke but damaged, and it really takes Jonas and his family treating her with love and respect for her to blossom.

The world building and the magic kept me interested, but it was the characters that stole my heart. I’m so happy to hear that the next book is in the works, as I’m now currently dying to see Tait become a smitten fool.

And now I need to backtrack even further and read the previous generations’ books.
