Queen B’s Decree: This one really scratched the itch for a cozy mystery.
Georgie is somehow become an amateur detective by solving murders in her little village (although if you asked her, it was all just common sense) but yet another murder occurring has her reaching out to a famous detective from London. He instead sends his secretary, the flirty and pretty Sebastian, who is the perfect golden retriever to Georgie’s black cat.
I got sucked into the mystery and couldn’t stop reading to figure out who the murderer was. But the interactions between Georgie and Sebastian stole the show. The witty banter, the steam; I just loved the progression from the awkward meet-cute (where she hates him) to their inevitable draw together.
It was lightheaded and fun (despite this being a murder mystery) and I absolutely adored this one. The audio was enthralling and Billie Fulford-Brown was such an amazing narrator, she really gave life to all the characters.
