Queen B’s Decree: The previous books in this series have all been fun, so I knew this one would be a hilarious read.
Casey is a wanderer that has learned that keeping your heart safe means no roots, and Jesse is her grumpy landlord, who is turned off from love after a bad breakup. Which makes sense that they are immediately drawn to each other, even if they can’t admit to each other (or themselves). A bunch of hilarious hijinks follow, until their forced proximity pushes them over the edge into a “just for now” fling.
My favorite characters were their pets, a dog and a cat. Them being besties just made my heart happy.
Some of the references felt a little dated and that took me out of the story for a few, but it was easy for me to move on and just enjoy the story. Overall, this was a great addition to the series and it makes me want to reread them all over again.
