Queen B’s Decree: I adored book in this series, Must Love Scones and Secrets, so I dove into this one with pure anticipation.
Immediately we get a great dynamic between the grumpy Gargoyle, Erasmus, and the half-elf party planner, Primrose. She wants to plan a party to celebrate the library’s birthday, and all he wants is to be left alone. Except he also can’t resist her…and wants to kiss her. But still no parties!!
This one is so cozy. There isn’t too much angst or problems to be found, just some good banter and a smidge of forced proximity from a meddling ghosty witch. It’s a bit instalove-y, but it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of the story.
And now I really—REALLY—want the farmer orc’s story. Pretty please!
