Queen B’s Decree: Luke and Mia have one magical night when she’s 18 while visiting his small town, but they don’t see each other again for ten years. So it’s technically a second chance trope, but no major misunderstandings happen in the past.
I am a sucker (pun intended) for a kraken romance. Why they are one of my favorite monsters, I’ll never know. I loved how accepting Mia was of his monster-ness and his family. It was so wholesome and heartwarming.
I wish the this act conflict had been resolved a little slower, it felt like it was fixed so quickly and wrapped up in a bow and I wanted a little more apologies from the bad guys (or comeuppance, I’ll take that too!).
But the steam was just right, with a dash of fated mates, and some side characters that make me want more books. Kraken Cove was a fun read with that Ami Wright charm.
