Read. Reign. Repeat.

Whisper by Cambria Hebert

Queen B’s Decree: Whisper is the seventh in the Westbrook Elite series, and while it could technically be a standalone, you’re really missing out if you haven’t read the previous books.

I’ve been looking forward to Prism’s story for ages. He’s my sweet, damaged boy. I wuvs him.

Arsen and Prism together are sugary sweet. Arsen basically sees Prism for who he really is, and what he really needs, and Arsen (can my phone stop autocorrecting to arsenal please, thanks) woos Matthew (aka Prism). I love a good courting or a wooing, it’s just so sweet and adorable and I can’t resist it.

In saying that, I did have some issues with pacing. Maybe I’m just used to the suspense of the previous books, but this felt tame in comparison. Which…in retrospect is strange to say since there is jail time and a kidnapping in this story. *insert shrug emoji*

At the end of the day, no one does the found family trope as good as Cambria Hebert does and we had that in spades in Whisper. I love the supportive crew of side characters and they can do no wrong (except Jamie’s loud chewing). I”m sad this series is almost over but I can’t wait for Coach’s story!
