I listened to The Fake Mate as an audiobook and I highly recommend it. The narrators were both outstanding and gave such life to the characters.
There was so much about The Fake Mate that I loved: the character development, the spicy steam, the juxtaposition of sweet romance with a dirty talking MMC. Excuse me? Joe Arden growling “good omega” in my ear? Yes, I’ll take more of that.
The plot was both interesting and plausible and I couldn’t stop reading. I was 100% invested in these characters and their MINOR third act break-up nearly killed me. I loved that the paranormal wolf shifter plot point felt secondary. It was just so different to what I’ve read before and what I expected.
This was my first from Lana Ferguson but definitely not my last.
