Queen B’s Decree: I’ve read a couple fantasy books recently and thought “hey, maybe I’ll read more of that genre.”
But The Kingdom is a Golden Cage was a slog for me. I didn’t connect with the characters, I found much of the wording to be very repetitive, and frankly, I didn’t understand the plot.
Unfortunately, this one was not for me and I quit midway.
