Queen B’s Decree: I love a good taboo story and Lilith Vincent always delivers. Brutal Conquest was no different.
While there is no blood relation, Kristian has been around Zenya as her uncle her whole life. And it stayed family-friendly…but feelings start to change eventually. Honestly Kristian is a giant mess but I still adored him. He’s obsessive and violent, and frankly a little crazy. Filled with “touch her and you die” vibes and an overwhelming need to consume Zenya, Kristian is the dark, OTT hero of my dreams.
The relationship with Zenya is hot and somehow sweet, even if they’re surviving in the dark and crazy Russian Mafia world. The suspense was prevalent, as I wasn’t prepared for all the action and the secrets that unfolded.
Overall, Brutal Conquest fulfilled my love of revenge, taboo, and obsessive heroes. I’ll be looking for more.
