Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Bookworm’s Guide to Faking It by Emma Hart

Queen B’s Decree: The second in this series was just as enjoyable as the first. I found myself smiling at my kindle (I don’t want to know how that looked from the outside) and laughing so many times.

Holley and Sebastian were best friends in high school until “the incident,” and they’ve never talked about it in the eight years that has passed. Holley is like an elephant; she never forgets. Seb is trying to explain and try to get their relationship back, and he slowly wears Holley down and convinces her to be his date for his sister’s wedding.

The back and forth between the two was hilarious. They were both relatable and funny, and their chemistry was clear to see. Even though this was a slow burn, you could feel their need through the pages.

The side characters were important to the story. I feel like they are becoming integral to this series, this collection of friends that have become a family of sorts.

I especially loved the bookworm references, who wouldn’t? Most of us are book nerds at heart so it’s lovely to see yourself represented.

Another fun read by Emma Hart from her best series yet.
