Queen B’s Decree: You know, I often joke that I avoid books over 500 pages. Why so long? Welp, consider me a convert because I ate this one up and it felt like time flew by.
This was 100% my jam. Witches, fated mates, a wraith that is basically death but somehow hot, a cat that I know has secrets, colorful side characters, a devious villain, and the best for last: a steamy, sexy throuple.
I was hooked on the storyline, and while the romance felt a bit instalovey, it felt appropriate for the magical community we got going on. I didn’t quite realize this wasn’t a standalone initially, but I finally clued in when we were no where near to defeating the bad guy and we were at 90% (my powers of deduction are super strong 🙃). So despite my slight confusion, I feel like the pacing went well and I am fully on board for the next!
Bring on the skeleton man, my body is ready.
