Read. Reign. Repeat.

For the Love of the Quest by Alexandra Ammon Parthun

Queen B’s Decree: For the Love of the Quest is kind of a ridiculous story that sucked me in. It was honestly so fun.

Edith has left her comfortable home to go questing for Excaliber. She just needs some muscle to help, so she searches out the leader of a criminal syndicate…who just happens to be Thomasin. So even though Thomasin has some ulterior motives, they all start their search for buried treasure.

I loved seeing Edith and Thomasin fall in love. Thomasin, growing to accept she is worthy of love, and Edith, realizing that she is capable and strong. The narrators were top tier, and gave such life to the characters. Frankie Porter and Imogen Church made this story even more fun than I believed.

There is a third act break-up, which felt truly painful, but the grand gesture was worth it.

Overall, an enjoyable listen and I’ll be looking more from this author!
