Wereball by Isabella Skye

Queen B’s Decree: Wereball started off with a bang. Yvaine, a medical student who aspires to be a neurosurgeon, ends up texting a mysterious werewolf from a rival pack. And their texting starts as bickering and insults and eventually turns into what feels like a true friendship—although he still stays a mystery.

Now while there is some good sexual tension between the two, there is almost no actual physical activity. In fact, they are barely together in person. Most of their relationship progression happens over text—when Yvaine doesn’t even know who he is.

Some of the banter and actions from the werewolf men were a bit misogynistic and I definitely felt some double standards about Logan being with multiple other women versus how he acted when he found out Yvaine had dated. So most of the book, I kept dreaming about the grovel we were gonna get. Because I knew it would be good. But alas, we don’t get it in this book. The cliffhanger ending threw me for a loop and left everything so unresolved.

In a way that makes me need the next book desperately, though. It’s strange, how I can be annoyed at the abrupt ending and yet need the rest of the story so badly.
