Queen B’s Decree: Iris works hard at her family’s farm every day…except for one weekend a year where she goes to New York and watches the ballet and thinks of what could have been. And one night…she meets Jack and they have a magical night out walking after the show. It’s somehow fate that they meet up again in her home town, when Jack is visiting his other billionaire friends.
Iris is so resistant to a relationship with Jack, and I can’t blame her. I wouldn’t want to deal with the snobbery that comes with being with him, all those rich New Yorkers looking down on her for being blue collar. But there is something so fantastical about a man who falls for you at first sight, it’s such a sweet and comforting trope to read.
I mean, the man takes a vacation from his fancy job to work at her family’s berry farm. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.
Overall, Love Hard was a sweet and heartwarming and a wonderful addition to the series.
