Queen B’s Decree: I’m really learning that graphic novels are 100% my bag.
The first volume of Dominion is a historical fantasy whodunit with a black cat x cinnamon roll kind of dynamic. The art, the banter, the story line, the extra quippy comics at the end of some of the chapters? Literally nothing I didn’t love.
This is only the beginning, so there are so many characters introduced (but thankfully, there’s a small character guide at the very end for the VIP characters to know and remember) and a bit of world-building, but nothing too overwhelming. I know it’s just the start, but there’s already a satisfying world of magic and intrigue and it just leaves you wanting more.
The physical copy of this graphic novel is capital letters GORGEOUS and I can’t wait to collect all the editions for my trophy shelf. I am in love with the artistic style and it just matches my vibes. I’ll be not so patiently waiting for more.
