Queen B’s Decree: A little enemies-to-lovers, a little no-strings-attached…just throw in a paranormal community and a vampire MMC and yeah…you’ve got me.
Aiden is so grumpy, but he’s the kind of grumpy that hides a sweet, marshmallow inside. And Joanna? I liked her towards the beginning…but the longer she went on burying her emotions, the more I begun to dislike her.
I know growth and maturity can be different for everyone, but homegirl is 35 and she still can’t tell literally anyone about how she feels? And when she runs away from her feelings so much that it physically harms others? Then I’m done being empathetic.
Otherwise, the spice was just right, and I enjoyed the humor and banter. I really liked the lore of the vampires and the introduction of the new ghosty boy (I totally want his story), and it was fun to have cameos of the characters from Howl. But my final feelings are definitely conflicted.
