Queen B’s Decree: Holidating is a collection of three different stories: Boyfriend, Blonde Date, and Crossroads. Only Crossroads is new to me, so this review will focus on it. Side note—Boyfriend was wonderful so do not skip it!
Crossroads is one of those stories where it’s consistently the “right person, wrong time” trope. Damien and Nicolette are both teenagers when they first meet and their paths continue to cross for years. And the yearning, it’s so clear it’s there on both sides.
I liked seeing their personal growth, seeing them mature and realize the important parts of life. It definitely got frustrating at times, when they were apart, but only because I wanted to rush ahead to the happily ever after.
Crossroads was comfy and comforting and a perfect addition to this holiday season.
