Queen B’s Decree: Yesssssss, this was a satisfying read.
It’s almost a grumpy/sunshine: the reclusive tech billionaire who values his privacy at all costs and the young, new college graduate just spending the summer in NYC. And OF COURSE, Bennett finds himself falling for Efa against his will (very P&P of you, sir!).
For most of the story, it’s lighthearted with a lot of spice and a sprinkle of an emotional connection. But since we get both points-of-view, it’s nice to see Bennett’s thought process and what’s driving his intense need for privacy.
Warning—a third act break-up does ensue, but don’t worry, there is a grand gesture that makes up for it.
The Boss + The Maid = Chemistry was a fun, hot, and quick story and I loved revisiting the Coves (even as side characters).
