Breaking the Ice by Calliope Stewart

Queen B’s Decree: I’ve been interested in Aurelia’s book since we met her in On Thin Ice. Aurelia is a victim of domestic violence, and she’s relegated to a wheelchair a big part of her life. But she’s still emotionally strong, raising her son and supporting her family.

What I loved about Breaking the Ice was how Pack Stone treated Aurelia and her disability. They never judged her or babied her, they just accepted her abilities and worked around it. And it was so sweet how they acted as parents. It was realistic; Cole made some mistakes, but he did everything in his power to make sure his son was happy and healthy.

I thought the romance was sweet, but I felt a lack of connection between them. I wasn’t quite sure what drew them together, as other than Wilder, it was a bit instalovey. The sex scenes were well written and hot and I enjoyed the inclusion of MM and FF scenes.

Another great read by Calliope Stewart!
