Protective Heart by Brighton Walsh

Queen B’s Decree: I first fell in love with Starlight Cove in Defiant Heart, with my favorite enemies-to-lovers trope. Protective Heart is friends-to-lovers, and that doesn’t always work for me. But oh, it SOOOO did here. Grumpy/sunshine here I come!

Beck is such a grump and he simps so hard for Everly. They’ve been friends since she came to town, and he’s been biding his time, unwilling to lose her friendship. She’s his sunshine!

The chemistry between them was off the charts. And truly, Beck is kind of a genius. The man reads romance novels with her to learn her wishes, kinks, and whatever pleases her; how can you not 100% fall in love with that? If you’re not convinced, let me tell you he’s got a dirty mouth. There, now you’ve fallen…just like me.

Protective Heart was a great addition to this new-ish to me author. I cannot wait until the next one; I’m already hooked.
