Read. Reign. Repeat.

Fanged Love by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff and Kylie Gilmore

Queen B’s Decree: Warning: Fanged Love is not a book that takes itself seriously.

Stella has just returned home from college, all excited to start working at her family’s winery. Coincidentally, her reclusive neighbor has just woken up from 500 years of slumber. Hmmmmmm perhaps there is a Fated Mate TM afoot?

What follows next is our resident vampire Prince Bozhidar Alexandru adjusting to modern life. Side note: I’ve never seen “What We Do in the Shadows” but I bet it is reminiscent of Fanged Love. Boz has to stop wearing ruffled tops and start understanding that you can’t order your Major-Domo to retrieve you virgin sacrifices anymore.

Boz struggles with his want of Stella, and starts to realize that he needs to woo her. Stella just can’t understand her attraction to the arrogant relic next door, and yet she is drawn to him.

The plot was a little ridiculous, but it was a fun and wild ride. Neli was an interesting side character, and I hope she gets more story time.

Overall, a good mix of snark, steam, and OTT humor.
