Maybe Later stars our gruff, billionaire boss Jackson and Amy, his sarcastic, temporary virtual assistant. A big chunk of the story is told through emails and instant messages – I love seeing our characters develop a relationship without even meeting in person.
But there’s a twist, and it brings up the question: who are we, really?
Both Jackson and Amy have troubled pasts that are standing in the way of their future. It was complex, and honestly a little confusing, but in a way that didn’t feel obtuse. Maybe Later is a well paced book with a great plot and characters that hooked me from the start.
