Queen B’s Decree: I don’t know what it is about Tessa Hale’s stories, but they are like crack to me. I get so invested and sucked in.
Legacy of Shadows has a few of my favorite tropes: reverse harem, fated mates, paranormal chosen one vibes. Fated mates and I adore the heroine? Win win! Leighton was definitely relatable. She had been through so much, and she’s just doing what she can to survive, but she wasn’t weak. I love that she stood up for herself with her boys.
And her boys really need to be doing some grovel in book #2. Because the amounts of secrets they were keeping was…lots. Every time I turned the page, I just kept yelling at them in my head “TELL HER.” But ahhhh, that’s what keeps me coming back. That fantastic foreshadowing with a perfectly-timed cliffhanger.
I’m hooked and will just be waiting here—patiently—for book #2!
