The Wedding Crasher by Mia Sosa

Queen B’s Decree: I resonated with Solange so much. She accidentally overhears a bride talking with the non-groom and finds that she can’t keep quiet about it, so she crashes and breaks up Dean’s wedding. But Dean’s not so heartsick—his marriage was going to be a modern marriage of convenience. When he perpetuates a white lie to work towards a promotion at his law firm, Solange feels obligated to help him out.

Both Dean and Solange live their lives affected by the trauma of their childhoods. For Solange, the abandonment of her father has caused her to be cautious of putting her trust in anyone while Dean plans to live his life without the emotional destruction of love. But opposites do attract, and they both can’t help being drawn to one another.

Their fake-dating antics are hilarious and I can never forget Dean Magic Mike-ing to Pony at the karaoke bar. I loved seeing them grow emotionally and how all their close friends and family work so hard to get them together. This book wouldn’t have been the same without the fantastic side characters—I’m dying for Brandon’s story.

Lighthearted and fun, The Wedding Crasher was another great read by Mia Sosa.
