Read. Reign. Repeat.

Jackson by Siobhan Davis

Queen B’s Decree: I put off reading this one for days. I kept thinking “can I handle another bully?” You see, I don’t hide my desire for revenge (in fiction only, thankyouverymuch) and so many bully stories are a little lax on the groveling. Jackson? He really came through for me.

Jackson was so focused on his end goal, his revenge, that he decides to use Vanessa as a pawn in his plan. Even when they start to get close, Jackson ignores his conscious and continues with his plan. Vanessa has been on her own for the past year after her stepfather kicked her out, but she’s turned her life around and is no longer the wild party girl they once knew. Honestly it was plain to see that Nessa had been abused, but teenage boys focused on revenge don’t always look too closely.

Jackson’s actions towards Nessa were horrible, yet he got himself together before it was too late. What I really loved was that Vanessa didn’t immediately forgive him (as it feels it so oftens happens in these bully books). She was strong enough to stand up for herself so Jackson had to grovel to get back in her good graces (yessssssss).

The wild and tumultuous world of the Elite just kept getting crazier and crazier. The world has sucked me in and I can’t wait to find out the resolution.
