But there was enough ambiguousness in the present to keep me coming back to the past, needing to know how Chase and Zoe ended up enemies of a sort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I loved them being forced back into each other&#8217;s spaces, yet knowing it was exactly what they needed to communicate and resolve their issues. It was clear to everyone that their chemistry had never gone away, and made me eagerly turn the page for more (metaphorically since I listened as an audiobook). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I felt like the resolution of the miscommunication was a little anticlimactic\u2014but maybe that also makes it more believable?
