She&#8217;s supposedly this genetically modified super soldier kid, but she seems like she&#8217;s always two steps behind everyone else. And her single-minded focus on finding her friend (more like first love, thank you) was repetitive and exhausting. My favorite character ended up being Iska, the wolf from the first book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plot and the storyline were engaging, but I couldn&#8217;t get past my dislike of our narrator, Remy. Thus, I ended up quitting <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ZCf4Ha\">Swift the Storm, Fierce the Flame<\/a> around 45%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Book:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3ZCf4Ha\">Swift the Storm, Fierce the Flame<\/a> by Meg Long<br><strong>Series:<\/strong> related to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3iGoG34\">Cold the Night, Fast the Wolves<\/a><br><strong>Genre:<\/strong> YA<br><strong>Hotness:<\/strong> no salsa<br><strong>Plot Devices\/Tropes:<\/strong> dystopian society<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Queen B&#8217;s Decree: I enjoyed Cold the Night, Fast the Wolves (despite issues with the pacing) so was interested to dive back in and continue with Remy&#8217;s story in Swift the Storm, Fierce the Flame.
