Queen B’s Decree: F.T. Lukens is quickly becoming an auto buy author for me. Everything they write has been a five star experience for me.
Love at Second Sight focuses on Cam, a human that discovers he’s clairvoyant and can glimpse into the future. He’s been a bit of a loner in the past, but he collects a ragtag group of friends—found family truly is one of the most enjoyable tropes. And his new friends become his support when his prejudiced parents don’t seem to accept him.
The romance is more of a minor part of the story here, although it’s still pretty adorable. But hey, these kids are only sophomores in high school; romance should be adorable and light. The mystery and the friendships are highlight of Love at Second Sight. I got swept up by the story and I couldn’t put it down.
Sooooo I actually read this first with eyeballs (and loved it) and when Simon Audio had it as an offering for an audiobook, I HAD to listen for a second read. I’m pretty sure Kevin R. Free has narrated for F.T. Lukens before and every time I hear his voice I know I’m gonna love it. He somehow just embodies the characters so well, despite how different the books can be.
I just hope there’ll be another release next year so I can continue my F.T. Lukens love affair.
